“often felt that good listeners and good readers ought to pay attention to meaning and not focus on the pretty details of mechanics correctness the superficial features of a language.” (gee 11) i agree because they need to expand their views to not only the story but the setting of the story, how it looks and feels, what the air smells like so on and so forth.

“unfortunately, many middle-class mainstreams status-giving discourses often do stress superficial features of language.” (Gee11) i disagree because it’s not true for some because of how they were brought up it could be different for those so this doesn’t apply to many just some.

“remark on the paradox that even though discourses cannot be overtly taught and cannot readily be mastered late in the game of what the university wants teachers to overtly teach and wants to demonstrate masterly.”(Gee 12) i agree because it’s needed to get through life better, but i disagree because it’s not the only way to get through.

“ fake it till you become it.” (cuddy p3) i agree because you can fake it till you become it, you fake it for so long your body and mind will eventually believe that, that’s what you do and so you become it.
